The girls are showing great improvement each game, but are also lacking some important tasks that need to be getting done.
Sophomore Meghan Gunter is feeling better about the team's play, but still feels that they need to step it up some more.
"We lost, but I think we have gotten better. We are doing a better job on defense, but we still need to get better on the outside and get better triangles so we can get better shots," Gunter said.
Gunter also commented on some areas of strength that the girls showed being that they are doing a good job at letting each other know where they are and doing what needs to be done.
"We are also doing a good job at attacking, but we don't have enough follow up that we need to score. Our communication could also be a little better, but we never have given up and are trying really hard," Gunter said.
The girls also played last Saturday at home against the Hesston College Larks, but lost 4-1.
Freshman Nakita Menefee scored the only point for Cloud in the first half.
Head Coach Dane Straight is seeing tons of improvement, but feels the girls could still do better.
The girls are looking more aggressive and playing like a team, but Ebonee Carter also feels that there is plenty of room for improvement.
"I think we need to run a little more and get into better shape so we can stay with the other teams. We could also use some attitude adjustments, but our communication skills are much better," Carter said.
Carter is also a sophomore and an important part of the T-Bird squad.
The girls will play again tomorrow, on the road, against Neosho County.
