For those not into the bump and grind style of dance that is so popular on Wednesday nights at the Rock, there is a new night just for you.
Thursday nights have now been dubbed "Country Night" at the Rock. Thus far, the event is free of charge and closes when everyone is ready to leave, not right at 1 a.m.
So how did County Night start?
"I saw that there were a lot more cowboy hats in the crowd on Wednesday nights. Some of the guys said to have it on Thursdays and they would spread the word, and then Country Night was born," said Rock manager Travis Taylor.
Ryan Haworth, sophomore and one of the "founders" of Country Night, said he is glad Country Night was started, "Because of the type of music is what I like and you can actually talk to people and play pool because there are less people there.
Erin Merry, freshman and Country Night first-timer, said, "I liked it because the people seemed more laid back."
So whether it's the free admission, late night two-stepping, or just the enjoyment of hearing the kind of music you enjoy, Country night is becoming a huge hit at Cloud County Community College and around the area.
So come on out ya'll and see what it's all about.
