Bailouts?

Better to Give Than Recieve

The news of a Walmart employee, at Valley Stream New York, being trampled to death because of eager, materialistic, Black Friday shoppers definitely reminds me of the sweet unnerving transition from November to the diabolical and charitable filled month of December. The Christmas spirit, Kwanzaa or Hanukkah if you prefer, is often tied with the moral tradition of giving to a cause in the form of money. The word "charitable donation" seems to stay in my mind as if someone had nailed it there; unfortunately the true cause is that of the current "economic crisis" this time involving yet another bailout.
It seems as if Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler are in a financial crisis and their idea of fixing it is to go right up to Congress, holding their fat sweaty hands out, and ask for $34 billion dollars. I don't know about all of you guys but the mere fact that the American people were hornswoggled out of over $700 billion dollars (that is almost 1 trillion by the way) to line the pockets of the CEO's of corporate banks, because we all know that the money didn't go to loans if you've been watching any kind of news source. So we've entrusted Congress with our hard-earned money to help pull us out of this recession but instead they do the opposite by throwing out money to people who we knew from the beginning we're greedy shysters. Now that we've went through the hell of that now the motor companies want a slice of my check? After the initial bid for help Congress immediately answered "No Way" but when the motor companies didn't get what they wanted they boldly threatened Congress, and the whole country, by saying that if they weren't given their requested bailout that there WILL be a DEPRESSION. Seriously at this point I am willing to go through a depression to usurp these grey poupons and to establish some sort of order to this world gone awry.
The world seems to become more vicious and stupid every day that passes. From the devastating attacks in India to two teen girls from Albet Lea, Minnesota who have been abusing the elderly (taunting, spitting in their food, and groping them) at their nursing home jobs. Times have changed but they are more than likely the same or even better. The only difference from the past and the present was news coverage and either way I'd rather be blissfully ignorant even if the bombs were dropping. With that being said just kick up your feet, in your favorite recliner, and pop in a good ole Christmas movie and try to forget about the carnage and mass orgies happening outside your during this wonderful season.

It's easy to say that you'd be willing to go through a depression when you don't have a family to support, a job to keep, bills piling up, etc. But for tens of millions of people in this country a depression is one of the worst things that can happen in their lives. (Continued…)
