"Girls are like Apples on Trees..."

The best ones are at the top. Most boys don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they just get the rotten apples that are on the ground that aren't as good, but easy. So the apples at the top think there is something wrong with them, when in reality they are amazing. That is why we just have to be patient."
I'm not entirely sure who said that quote, but I'd have to agree with their statement. I honestly think that people sometimes allow themselves to be with someone that doesn't deserve them because they are afraid of being in a relationship that wouldn't be as disappointing. People get so used to having to work hard at something that they don't want the easy way out. It's almost as if they would want to be unhappy for the rest of their lives than to have a fulfilled, enjoyable life.
I often see couples that don't make that much sense to me. I think to myself why on earth are so many people settling down with a person that won't give them what they truly need. What seems like a happy picture to the rest of the world isn't always the case. For example, a woman who is use to being physically abused can always fake a smile on her face and claim that he loves her, but she deserves to be with a person that will respect her as an individual and not view her as a object.
There are several times when it's probably better to be single and there are also many advantages included. No one is there to question you about where you been, you don't have to worry about hurting someone's feelings, flirt when you feel like it, or just hanging out with friends. Sure it's a pain to see all your friends happy with someone and no one likes to feel like the third wheel. However, marriage and all that come soon enough and there's no need to rush since you have the rest of your life to do that. For now it's about having fun and loving yourself.
Also a lot of people, especially girls, feel like there's something wrong with them and that's why they're single, but that's not true either. There's things in this world that we will never understand but reality can sometimes be even better than what we imagined in our minds. So sure you're single now but so what? I you believe love is out there for you than it will eventually find you. Remember good things come to those that wait, so be patient love will arrive.
